Working in a Coal Mine…

Current mood: bearmood — working ambitious
So, the great house cleanup is underway. My neck cooperated long enough yesterday to get half the living room carpet cleaned. I'm taking a break from working on the other half (I'm waiting for some water to boil). Figures I'm going to have to stop to go to work in an hour or so. I hate it when having to go to work interferes with my industrious moods.

Cold Stone Creamery is having the World's Largest Ice Cream Social on Thursday, July 29th from 5 - 8 p.m. They did a segment about in on WB2 News this morning. The cake they're having sounds good. I might go--depends on the size of the crowd. That place is always really busy.

Oops, water's boiling. Gotta go.

I Need a New Name

Current mood: bearmood — curious perplexed
So, sometime this week I'm going to switch to either Wordpress or ExpressionEngine, I haven't decided which yet. I am so sick of having to rebuild the whole dang site when I delete a spam comment. Along with the switch, I want a new blog name. "LaDonnaBlog" is just so unimaginitive and uncreative for an artistic, crafty chick like me. Problem is, I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING! Marcus keeps suggesting "The Blog of Continuous Woe". LOL Since I'm trying to change my outlook on everything (I'll probably still falter once in a while), that name is totally inappropriate. Well, maybe some kind of inspiration will hit me at work today.

Marcus' mom is coming to visit this weekend. I'm going to be busting my butt to get the house cleaned this week. Hopefully, my neck will continue to get better and I can get that accomplished.

The craft shelf is not quite done. I desperately needed a nap when I got home from work (3+ hours). Then Marcus wanted me to go to a couple of stores with him. We had yet another crappy dining experience at Atlanta Bread Company (they're permanently on our boycott list). I told Marcus that, from now on, if we were wanting bread soup bowls, we're driving the extra distance to Panera Bread. After we got home, I did some research on Wordpress plugins. While doing this, I watched The 4400, The Dead Zone, South Park, and a Making of South Park special. Then it was 11:30 (where did the time go?!) and I needed to get Marcus to bed.

Well, I guess I should stop procrastinating and get to work.

Crafty Knick Knack Shelf

Current mood: bearmood — artistic crafty
Well, awhile back I bought this unfinished shelf at Hobby Lobby on which to put some of my craft/sewing related figurines. It has taken me forever to get it done. Every time I start working on it, something else comes up. Well, I decided it was going to be the main focus during this school break and the good news is that I will probably finish it today. I'm so psyched. Pictures will follow!

I Need to Find My Inner Witch

I was looking at a little book at Barnes & Noble yesterday called There's a Little Witch in Every Woman: Discover Your Magickal Powers to Create the Life You Want by Midia Star. I'm intrigued. I may go back later this afternoon to read it (it's a small book) since I don't have any extra cash right now. I'd like to add that to my library someday, though.
